Red oak, white to light brown, pink-brown heartwood. The appearance of red oak is usually similar to that of white oak, but due to the finer pith rays, there are fewer visible patterns. Red oak is hard and heavy, with moderate bending strength and rigidity, and high breaking strength. Most of the red oak is straight-grained with rough texture.
The veneer and other veneers of red oak after peeling or slicing are glued and hot pressed to make red rubber plywood. Widely used in building materials, furniture, flooring, interior building decoration, wood moldings, doors, cabinets.
